VIA University College, Aarhus University and VR company MANND have come together for two projects focusing on sustainable digital transformation in the lifestyle industry.
The projects are working in the intersection of various digital tools and technologies such as 3D, XR and body scanning, exploring the possibilities with a strong focus on fashion experiences.
The two projects will offer a series of hands-on experiences, workshops, matchmaking events and hackathons where fashion companies, tech providers and students will have the opportunity to meet and work together.
RENDERED FABRIC:LAB
As a first stop on the agenda, the partners are organising a workshop on 5 April in Herning. The RENDERED FABRIC:LAB will be a playground, where you can get access and hands-on experience with some exciting technologies and see how they work together. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about how Clo 3D can be utilised in the design and production process, and how digital designs and avatars combined with body scanners and XR technology can shape the future showcase and purchase experience for customers.
The workshop will consist of both presentations and step-by-step demonstrations followed up by some hands-on experience.
PROJECT PURPOSE
Explore how creative technologies and storytelling through XR tools can facilitate sustainable transformation – in this case the Lifestyle Industry.
